SolidWorks World: Saturday

It was an early start to the day for me as my flight leaving Huntsville was at 6:00am. Add to that the fact that I had to run by work to pickup those all important business cards I had forgotten and the result is quite a long day.

P1010012 Am I complaining? Not a chance. I arrived at the convention center at around 12:00pm. I quickly set about familiarizing myself with the layout of the facility. The one thing I learned quickly is that the Morial Convention center is HUGE. Work on the Partner Pavilion setup was well underway in anticipation for it’s opening tomorrow. I got to meet up with several SolidWorks employees and some fellow users that I hadn’t seen in quite a while. Registration was already open and there were quite a few folks getting their gear and badges for the event. Everything is gearing up for a great start tomorrow!

RiverwalkThe thing I was most impressed with today had to be the city of New Orleans. Everyone I have come in contact with has showed us the utmost courtesy. Many of the convention center area employees were taking extra steps to make sure we knew our way around the area. You can feel a real pride that as been “reborn” in this city. I’m really looking forward to the next 4 days here!

Stay tuned…..LOTS more to come!
