Knoxville Bound!

I’ll be headed off to Knoxville, TN tomorrow to present my SolidWorks Tips and Tricks at the Knoxville-Oak Ridge Innovation Valley User Group.  The group leader, Jeff Bohanan, has been doing a GREAT job in bringing this SolidWorks User Group back to life.  If you are in the area, come on by!  One of the things I enjoy most about being part of the SolidWorks User Group Leader network is traveling to see other groups and occasionally present at their meetings.  I hope to do this a little more often this year so perhaps this will be first of a few more to come in 2009.  The meeting will be held at the ModernTech headquarters in Knoxville.  Check out the KORIV site for directions if you need them!

I hope to see you there tomorrow night!  Stay tuned….more to come!

    Hey Ricky,

It was very inspiring the "TRICKS & TIPS" presentation last Feb 24th-09; Very clear examples on each topic; We have a great positive re-start here at A.O.SMITH - Johnson City - TN. Awesome time spent at ModernTech. Special after the unbelievable meetings @ SolidWorks Word 2009 -Orlando-FL. So keep up the good work !

    Thanks,

Ive approached SolidWorks avoiding the keyboard and trying to utilize toolbars as much as possible but your presentation has caused me to rethink my approach to using the keyboard. Thanks for coming up!t
  • Hi Cory,

Glad to meet you in person finally last night. A big thanks to you and your company for donating those USB drives for the prize giveaway last night. Its really great to see companies doing that for User Groups.

Keep me posted on how your Keyboard shortcuts are coming along. Once you learn them...its a BIG timesaver!

Here is the article I spoke about that has a link to my keyboard shortcuts:

  • I attended the KORIV-SWUG event last night and really enjoyed your presentation. We took more notes during your tips-and-tricks session than we have at any previous one- lots of great stuff there! We sure appreciate you making the trip up here. Jeff does a great job organizing this group and it is wonderful to see it growing quickly. Thanks for your contribution to the community.
  • Ben,

You hit the nail on the head. Jeff does a GREAT job with the group in Knoxville. You guys are very lucky to have a guy like him leading your User Group.
