Coming soon: SolidWorks 2008 Beta

Submitted by Ricky Jordan on Sunday, April 8, 2007View Comments

It’s that time of the year again and SolidWorks 2008 Beta is just around the corner.  For those not familiar with the SolidWorks Beta program, anyone SolidWorks user that has a license on Subscription Service can sign up.  All you have to do is go to http://beta.solidworks.com and register!

According to the SolidWorks Beta website, registration will begin this week (week of April 9th).  There is no published date yet for the release of the beta software.

There is a note posted on the beta website stating: “The SolidWorks Beta/Pre-Release program will require all participants to register.”  In previous years if you reported at least one issue you were automatically signed up for the program the following year.  This note leads me to believe that that will not be the case this year.  If you plan to participate make sure you sign up!

UPDATED 4-10-07: Registration for the SolidWorks Beta Program is now live.  The Beta1 software is not yet available, but the What’s New Manual is.  Register today to read about all the new features in SolidWorks 2008!
