I could go and get the manual installs for each if I needed them, but if I am going to use either, the 2010 are preferred anyway. I might have to watch opening and saving SolidWorks 2009 files in Photoview 360 2010 though.

I just picked one of these up on craigslist for a very good deal. I will let you know how mine goes in a few months. I am going to use it for light portable video and photo editing. Probably not as resource consuming as music production, but still I needed that extra power of the M6400.

I mentioned earlier that the installations were fast. Since I already had all the files downloaded, the time taken was pure installation. SolidWorks 2010 installed in about 15 minutes and SolidWorks 2009 installed in about 10 minutes! Not having previous installations times recorded, I can’t give you the difference in install times, but it was substantially faster with Windows 7.

Sounds like a pretty decent machine. Any word on how this handles the CS4 apps in processes like web design or graphic design? I still see significant slow downs on dual core CPUs with 4GB of RAM in Photoshop and Illustrator.
