Ricky
Thanks for the prompt reply, managed to get the description to come in to the weldments cut list, when i went into the part properties via edit in context in weldments enviroment, deleted the description then re entered it again, but the description then said parent+(part name) for some reason Weird one and too much hassle to use this way.

Caister

Caister,

I've researched this a little bit and can't find a way to import the custom property information of the "padeye" type part into the Weldment Cut List. In the "Insert Part" command you can choose to import the custom properties but it applies the Custom Properties to the entire part (weldment) file.

This sounds like a good enhancement request item.

Best Regards,

Ricky

Hi if i am building a 40 ft offshore container in weldments, can you import a padeye part from another container and have it appear in the bom in the weldments drawing i know you can rename the part, but whats the point when it has its own properties which could be used in the cut list bom. Sometimes as in a hose reel the middle component is a hub and six box section stubs come off this, but the hub does not bring up the part number in the weldments bom unless you manually type this in the weldment structure. i might be missing something any help would be great.

thanks for reading.

Thanks for the presentation of this new feature. It looks good and should help take some of the tedium out of designing large steelwork structures.
