Just wanted to belatedly say thanks for your additional tip here Ricky. It's much appreciated.

I am constantly impressed by what SolidWorks can do, and I know I have hardly scratched the surface.

Cheers,
Joel

Hi joelpt,

I'm this one is an "oldie but goodie" isn't it! :-) In SolidWorks 2009 Move Face features can be re-sized now with Instant 3D. Check it out if you get the chance. There is a link to a post below that contains a video showing Instant3D in SolidWorks 2009. Towards the end of the video I demonstrate it with the Move Face command.

http://www.rickyjordan.com/2008/08/solidworks-2...

Ricky

Brilliant. I needed to inset a pair of crossbeams into a frame; they were currently flush with its edge. Using Move Face I was able to easily inset them into the frame without having to micromanage the existing relationships.
